Novell has released the first version of Moonlight which is an open source implementation of Silverlight.
It has been developed as a joint effort of Microsoft and Novell. Moonlight 1.0 maps to Silverlight 1.0 and work on 2.0 is under development.

It is available for download at no cost with support for most major Linux distro’s (including openSUSE, SUSE Linux Enterprise, Fedora, Red Hat, and Ubuntu).
